FIRE RATED: To help prevent the spread of fire by ensuring doors remain closed in the event of a fire, these hinges have been approved in accordance with the BS EN 1935 standards, making it suitable fire and smoke door assemblies.

Suitable for 30 minute fire doors.
Recommended to be fitted 3 hinges per door.
This product has been successfully type-tested for conformity to all of the requirements of BSEN 1935.

Do fire doors need special hinges?
Yes, fire door hinges must be CE marked and made from a non-combustible material with a melting point of at least 800°C (such as brass, stainless steel and phosphor bronze). The size of the hinge fitted should be outlined in the fire door test, although the most common sizes are 100mm and 76mm. The CE and UKCA mark should be clearly displayed on the hinge.
