What is a sliding pocket door

A sliding pocket door is a type of door that slides into a pocket within the wall when the door is opened, saving space compared to traditional hinged doors. The door disappears completely into the wall when fully open.

What is a soft close sliding door kit

In addition to the standard kits we include a soft close device.

This device ensures the door closes gently and quietly without slamming. The soft close feature uses damper to slow down the door's movement as it approaches the closed position, reducing the impact and preventing it from slamming.

These devises provide a smoother, quieter closing action and helps protect the door and its components from wear and tear. It’s particularly useful for both safety and convenience, preventing doors from closing too quickly and causing damage to the door, track, or surrounding area.

What are the benefits of installing a sliding pocket door

  • Space-saving: It’s ideal for small spaces where traditional hinged doors would be too bulky.
  • Modern aesthetics: They provide a sleek, contemporary look and can make a room feel larger.
  • Flexible design: Pocket doors can be used for various spaces, including bathrooms, bedrooms, closets, or between rooms.
  • Easy access: They glide smoothly and can be more accessible for people with mobility issues.
