The Emergency Escape Door Lock Kit
- For use on doors that need to be locked via a euro profile cylinder for security but will allow escape via one single operation from inside. Typically, office escape doors or HMO bedroom/apartment doors.
- Key to lock from outside, Thumb turn to lock inside, one turn escape from inside. When unlocked the handles will operate freely from both sides of the door.
- When the inside lever handle is operated, both the latch and deadbolt are withdrawn simultaneously, allowing a locked door to opened from the inside just by operating the internal door handle. Must be used in conjunction with the supplied door handles or this lock will not comply with the British / European standard.
- Tested and approved to the British standard BS EN 179 Tested to BS EN 179. Suitable for use where the emergency exit door is used only by trained personnel. This item is NOT suitable for use in public buildings and public areas (areas with 60 or more people).
- This emergency escape mortice lock kit contains the following items 1x Escape mortice lock with intumescent kit, 1x pair of stainless steel levers, 1x euro profile cylinder with internal thumb turn and 2x euro profile escutcheons.
- Certified for use on FD30 & FD60 minute timber fire doors.
- Dimensions of the locks and lever handles meet the requirements of BS 8300 and Approved Doc M (ADM).
- This kit should be fitted by a competent professional tradesman.

- 1x DIN-ESCAPE - DIN style euro profile escape lock tested to BS EN 179
- 1x pair lever handles
- 1x 70mm cylinder with thumb turn to suit doors 44mm to 54mm thick
- 2x euro keyhole escutcheons
