What is a soft close sliding door kit?
In addition to the standard kits we include a soft close device.
This device ensures the door closes gently and quietly without slamming. The soft close feature uses a damper to slow down the door's movement as it approaches the closed position, reducing the impact and preventing it from slamming.
These devices provide a smoother, quieter closing action and helps protect the door and its components from wear and tear. It’s particularly useful for both safety and convenience, preventing doors from closing too quickly and causing damage to the door, track, or surrounding area.
What are the benefits of installing a sliding pocket door?

- Flexible design: Pocket doors can be used for various spaces, including bathrooms, bedrooms, closets, or between rooms
- Easy access: They glide smoothly and can be more accessible for people with mobility issues
Do I need to modify the wall to install a sliding pocket door?
Yes, installing a pocket door typically requires modifying the wall to create a cavity or pocket for the door to slide into.
Depending on the space and the type of wall (e.g., drywall, plaster, or brick), you may need to remove part of the existing wall or build a new frame.
Can a pocket door be installed in an existing wall?
It is possible, but it’s more challenging. Installing a pocket door in an existing wall requires careful planning and the possible removal of drywall or plaster. For load-bearing walls, it’s crucial to consult with a professional to ensure the wall can support the change.
